The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) is a member of the Islamic Development (IDB) Group. ICIEC was established in 1994 as an International institution with full juridical personality. The idea for the establishment of an entity to provide investment and export credit insurance for Islamic Countries originated from the Agreement for the Promotion, Protection and Guarantee of Investment among Member Countries of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
ICIEC has retained their old brand identity since their inception, and felt like a need to revamp their brand image. We as an agency were tasked to revamp ICIEC's brand identity, extending it all the way to marketing collaterals like stationary, presentation templates, email signatures and ATL Marketing etc.
Art Direction, Branding, Logo Design, Corporate Identity Design, Exhibition Design
The first task was to revamp ICIEC's logo. Many options were presented to the client, and one out of those options made the cut.
The final logo on the first look represents a globe, and then the crescents. These elements immediately communicate the global
reach and Islamic values of ICIEC. The next factor is of the colors used in the logo. Green symbolizes both Islam and prosperity whereas gold symbolizes generosity and status.
The logo visually summarizes that ICIEC is a moral power with a global force, are professionals guided by clear principles, and is internationally established and successful.
A modern corporate identity was developed in-line with the revampled ICIEC's logo
A Brand guideline was developed which included all the specifications and usage of the Corporate Identity as well as other BTL Marketing and Digital collaterals.
ICIEC wanted to launch their newly developed identity in an emphatic fashion in an exhibition held at Jeddah Exhibition Center. Two exhibition booths were designed keeping in mind their brief, reflecting the new ICIEC's color palette and visual elements.
